The Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park Zookeeper for a day program that’s great for wildlife enthusiasts. You’ll be dealing with all sorts of wild animals. Some fly, some slither, and some are just a bit feisty but it could just be the best experience of your life.
In this experience you will see parts of the zoo that are not available for viewing by the general public.
There’s always heaps to do at the Zoo and it’s often quite spontaneous.
Zookeepers can look forward to some hands on work with the team at Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park. That work can include animal handling, husbandry, and feeding, as well as experiencing and learning about the captive breeding of endangered species. The Zookeeper for a day program is designed to give a greater understanding, appreciation, and respect for the world around us.
The experience includes a cool Zookeeper 4 A Day cap and T-shirt, certificate and lunch on the day.
Please note that this experience requires a minimum of 2 participants for the session go ahead.

Dress Code:
Enclosed shoes and long shorts or pants are required for all participants.
Weather Information:
Due to the dangers of extreme heat for animals and participants, we reserve the right to postpone the Zookeeper program during extreme weather. We will contact all participants at least 24 hours before their booking to notify them of our decision. The decision to postpone will be based on a forecast of 35° celsius, and over, for the town of Pinjarra, by the Bureau of Meteorology. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we hope you appreciate our concerns.
Other Information:
- We recommend bringing a water bottle, raincoat and/or sunscreen depending on the weather. We also suggest bringing along a camera as there will be many photo opportunities.
- Zookeeper 4 A Day is available most days of the year. Please note that we require a minimum of 2 participants for the to session go ahead. If a session needs to be cancelled due to minimum numbers not being met, we will reschedule you to another suitable day.
- Participants must be fully physically mobile as, sadly the experience maybe unsuitable for wheelchair users.
