Common Wombat

The Common Wombat is a stocky marsupial native to Australia. It is mainly nocturnal and has a distinctive squat body shape, short legs and a long tail. Its fur is generally grey-brown and its head has a broad, flat nose and small ears.

Food: Herbivore, eats grasses, forbs, roots and sometimes bark.

Habitat: Grassland, open forests, shrublands and alpine meadows
